The Board I Expansion adds a second game board (62 x 62 cm) for use in Apex Legends™: The Board Game, based on the industrial themes of Kings Canyon and offering new buildings and terrain features, including fences, which function as impassable obstacles, but do not block line of sight. The new board can be attached to the default one using a set of connector tiles, which effectively doubles the potential game area, creating an arena used e.g. in a new game mode: Control Point. The Scenario Book included in the expansion contains detailed instructions for new setups, and a fresh batch of scenarios.

Taking place on the Kings Canyon map, the core experience focuses on the final zone, where the ultimate confrontation unfolds. Each player assumes the role of a unique Legend. The players activate team by team, trying to outmaneuver enemies in the heat of battle and recreate the unpredictable, unforgettable moments known from the source game—securing key positions on the map, snatching valuable loot seconds before an opponent, or diving behind cover or shielding a teammate just in time to save them from oblivion…
Once activated, each Legend may perform basic actions such as Move, Interact, Use, and Attack. Additionally, the players can utilize their Legend’s unique Abilities (both combat-oriented and utility-based) and a deck of Legend-specific Feat cards to gain the upper hand. Creating a well-built team where Legends complement one another on the battlefield as well as using all available strategic options is the key to victory.
After a team’s activation is complete, the game is far from over! On their opponent’s turn, Legends can react to enemy actions with Instant and Reaction cards. Reactions allow a player to respond when either they or their teammates are attacked, taking cover, recovering their shield, or assisting an ally. When the conditions on an Instant card are met, the player can activate it as a clever way to thwart their opponent’s next move.

Each quest has three phases: adventuring, battle, and exploration. In the adventuring phase, players make choices based on options presented on the quest cards and need to accomplish something (such as crossing a river or chasing down a suspect) by flipping the correct number and color of cards from their decks. In the battle phase, players work together to defeat enemies on a physical battle map. Turns are determined by drawing chits out of the destiny bag, with each enemy having numbered tokens that correspond with different attacks and actions. Players may play action cards on their own turns to do damage and can play boost cards on other players’ turns to do things like reduce damage, move players, or even return a drawn chit to the destiny bag for redraw.
The game doesn’t end if an objective isn’t achieved or an enemy defeats the heroes, but it will affect later gameplay and choice options. Lastly, on certain quests players can return to the city in the exploration phase to speak to NPCs, purchase items, and level up their decks.
Woven throughout each of these phases are cards that require you to make a choice, such as resting before moving on or charging into battle, or whether or not to spare someone’s life. The characters in the game have their own set of morals and standards, and playing according to your character can earn you Kinfire tokens that help you level up. Ultimately though, the decisions you make are yours alone.

The Adventure Chest is a brand-new expansion to Lost Ruins of Arnak that features an original storage solution designed by CGE and fits all previously released Lost Ruins of Arnak content.
The Adventure Chest box is bigger and sturdier than that of the base game. The insert itself is made of 8 individual boxes from layered PET material and is designed to make setup, play, and cleanup as easy as possible.
Inside the Adventure Chest is a fresh addition to the world of Arnak: the new expansion Twisted Paths. This expansion brings a new double-sided map bigger than the one in the base game and includes two new research tracks, each with unique mechanisms and components (like brand new temple tiles or new resources—dark tablets).
In addition to new maps, the expansion contains new guardians, sites, and assistants, and also some solo content—Rival tiles for the new maps, as well as Purple Rival tiles and Rival Objectives, two mini expansions previously released online as print-and-play.
The Adventure Chest does NOT include any other Lost Ruins of Arnak content. The base game or any of the two previous expansions, Expedition Leaders or The Missing Expedition, must be purchased separately.
