Ziricote exotic wood is a captivating choice, sometimes referred to as the abstract art of veneer. Designers seek it out for its unrepeatable grain patterns, often in long cloudy forms. Brownish color with lighter sections and dark distinguished lines is nicely contrasted by creamy sapwood. The playing field is a combination of Ziricote wood with Olive & Oak points.
This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skilful workers use this method in order to create the inside design of the backgammon.
